In the Mediterranean, one of the busiest seas in the world, the risk of collisions between ships and cetaceans keeps growing: in the Pelagos Sanctuary alone, about 3,500 “near misses” are estimated every year. The system alerts the crew in real time and produces reports with detections, GPS coordinates and route history.
